El Morro National Monument

From Albuquerque, take Interstate 40 77 miles west to Grants, Exit 81, then turn south onto NM 53. Proceed 43 miles, past the lava fields of El Malpais on the east side of the road; as NM 53 takes a distinct turn west, follow it along and watch for the immense bluff that looms to the south.
