The bookstore has a wide selection of titles covering specialized topics such as cave environments and area wildlife—and plenty of furry frills. For a chuckle, pick up a canned bat—a stuffed free-tailed simile sealed within an aluminum can. Film, batteries, postcards, and other items are available in two gift shops. In the larger one, silver jewelry recalls American Indian history with silver and mother-of-pearl renditions of Kokopelli—a pipe-playing fertility god. Snacks and drinks along with a limited selection of souvenirs are available at the underground lunchroom.
