Farina Pizzeria & Wine Bar Review

The team at the Artichoke Café, just across the street, has opened this stellar pizza lounge inside an ancient former grocery store with hardwood floors, exposed-brick walls, pressed-tin ceiling, and a couple of rows of wooden tables along with a long bar. This noisy, spirited place doles out exceptionally tasty pizzas with blistering-hot crusts and imaginative toppings; the Salsiccia, with sweet-fennel sausage, roasted onions, and mozzarella, has plenty of fans. Finish with rich butterscotch budino (Italian pudding), and take note of the extensive, fair-priced list of wines by the glass.

    New York Style Thin Crust with a Southwestern Spin

    “Best pizza in America” is a title historically claimed by restaurants in the pizzalopolis’s of New York and Chicago. While the monarchs of the thin slice and deep dish, do pump out a plethora of perfect pizzas, with their use of local ingredients and Southwestern spin, Albuquerque New Mexico’s Farina Pizzeria is redefining Italy’s #1 import one green chile at a time. Farina’s menu has lots of veggie pizzas: Margherita, Melanzane, Funghi, and a Bianca with artichoke hearts and the bread is some of the best I've ever had.
