You'll find classic French bistro dishes—moules frites, couscous merguez (spicy lamb sausage), and croque madame (grilled ham, egg, and cheese sandwich)—and a nice wine list in this amiable corner spot on the west edge of Nob Hill, steps from UNM campus. Service is good, and the food—which is very good—is improved by the congenial atmosphere. Try the patio when the weather is fair, or the lemon-colored back room when it's not. There are specials
each day, and the less-expected menu items such as Poulet du Midi (seared chicken breast stuffed with chèvre and figs) are palate- and budget-pleasing as well.
