The gourmet pizzas at Il Vicino are baked in a European-style wood-fired oven. If a suitable combination of the 25 possible toppings eludes you, try the rustica pie, a buttery cornmeal crust topped with roasted garlic, artichokes, kalamata olives, and capers. The kitchen also turns out excellent Caesar salad, spinach lasagna, and designer sandwiches. It's also a great place to sample house-brewed beers, including the Wet Mountain India Pale Ale, which consistently wins awards at the Great American Beer Festival. There's another branch, usually less crowded, in a shopping center not too far from Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway.

Nice thin crust, light pizza. Friendly employees and atmosphere. Get a seat on sidewalk to watch the happenings around Nobb Hill.Parking on street with meters...no problem. Didn't know they were a chain restaurant but very good regardless.
