Few tourists make it to this inexpensive and authentic Vietnamese restaurant a short drive east of Nob Hill, in an uninspired neighborhood just off old Route 66. Favorites from the extensive menu include rare-beef noodle soup; stir-fried noodles with veggies, fish balls, chicken, barbecue pork, and pork; spicy fish baked in a hot pot; and catfish with lemongrass sauce. You'll also find plenty of vegetarian options, including knockout spring rolls. Friendly, prompt service and a simple, attractive dining room add to the experience.
