Unser Racing Museum

Fodor's Review:

Albuquerque is home to the illustrious auto-racing family, the Unsers, whose four generations of drivers have dominated the sport since the early 20th century. The most famous of the clan include Bobby Unser Sr. and Al Unser Sr., and their assorted children and grandchildren. Exhibits at this state-of-the-art museum, which opened in fall 2005, include a display on Pikes Peak, Colorado, where the Unsers first began racing; a study of the family's legacy at the Indianapolis 500; memorabilia on the family and the industry; a technological look at race cars; and several vintage autos.
