Gold Street Caffè
Gold Street Caffè Review
A culinary cornerstone of downtown Albuquerque's renaissance, this dapper storefront café with exposed-brick walls and high ceilings serves breakfast fare that is a cut above, plus equally satisfying lunch and dinner entrées. In the morning, go with eggs Eleganza (two poached eggs atop a green-chile brioche with local goat cheese), along with a side of chile-glazed bacon. Later in the day, consider polenta-dusted tilapia with a sun-dried-tomato cream sauce, or seared-beef chopped salad with fried rice noodles and chile-lime vinaigrette. You can also just hang out among the hipsters and office workers, sipping a caramel latte and munching on one of the tasty desserts, or enjoy a glass of wine from the short but well-selected list.
