Fodor's Review

The fajitas at this sprawling local favorite with a romantic patio are among the best in town, and the carne adovada is faultless; the burger wrapped inside a sopaipilla is another specialty, as are the chimichangas packed with beef. The charming restaurant occupies a late-19th-century Territorial-style house.

Rude hostess & lazy waiters!

Case De Benzvidez needs to re removed from you book. The food was cold, no service & rude hostess. It definitely wasn't worth the trip or money.

A Horrible Experience

Two of us were there last week and took Fodor's advice that this place had the best fajitas in town. Wrong! Overcooked and no flavor. The margaritas were from a mix, the refried beans were cold (when I complained I was given the evil eye by the hostess later), and the service was non-existent. The only thing good was the salsa, which would be great if they brought more than 2 tablespoons at a time. I'd say it's best to avoid.

Rude Hostess

The hostess that works at this restraunt is extremly rude with no people skills. I will not be coming here again. She talked down to my family and I like we were children, muttered saracastic things about my 3 year old under her breath and told our waitress to ignore us. She needs to leave or that place will go down.

Off the beaten path

good, unassuming food. The first restaurant we ate in while in NM. Never had "New Mexican" food before but we were both impressed. Ordered the dinner sampler for 2 and had plenty of food. Would definatly go back. Felt like a local....not too touristy
