A lovely building with a wrap-around porch, though not as striking from the outside as some of the gingerbread-style houses, this brown-shingled Colonial revival-style inn is distinguished by its itimate accomodations. There are only four rooms, each appointed with comfortable beds and gas fireplaces. Throw down the extra ten dollars and spring for the third floor Alexandra Suite with its two-person jetted tub. Breakfast selections alternate daily between savory and sweet—perhaps french toast strata on Saturday and eggs benedict on Sunday. Borrow the bicycles for a trip to the lighthouse or grab some beach chairs and towels and hit the sand just a block away.
