Casinos, Atlantic City
Fodor's Review:
Parker Brothers may have to rejigger the Monopoly board to reflect this newcomer. The hottest property in town is now not on the Boardwalk but in the Marina district, way on the other side of the city. The $1.1 billion casino-hotel, the first addition to Atlantic City since 1990, exists on a scale more akin to Las Vegas than anything in these parts. Glitzy yet trendy, Borgata encompasses a 125,000-square-foot casino and 3,650 coinless slot machines. The architecture and interior design, a blend of modern elements and old-Italy motifs, combined with Borgata's big-name restaurants and clubs pull in a younger crowd (on average) than the other area casinos.
