After a day of activity in the White Mountains, warm up by this inn's fieldstone fireplace or by the bar's woodstove. Most rooms in this unpretentious 1826 farmhouse have mountain views; several have fireplaces. The restaurant ($$-$$$) prepares such haute regional American fare as roast duckling in a Chambord sauce and rack of lamb with a Dijon-burgundy sauce. The dark-chocolate pâté with white-chocolate sauce is a knockout dessert.
