In 1927 attorney Frank Hogan built this three-story Georgian-revival home as a wedding present for his daughter, Dorothy Adair. Today it's a luxurious country inn, with walking paths that wind through gardens on 200 acres. Rooms, which have garden or mountain views, are furnished with period antiques and reproductions; many have fireplaces. One suite has a large two-person hot tub, a fireplace, a balcony, and a king-size sleigh bed. Thoughtful touches include turndown service with Lindt chocolates, hair dryers and magnifying mirrors, and in-room CD players. A generous afternoon tea is served in the elegant living room.
