Fodor's Review:
With downhill slopes nearby and cross-country trails beginning at this mammoth 1879 country estate, skiing is the order of the day. Public areas are rustic but elegant and include a 280-foot-long wraparound porch, and the large guest rooms are furnished with late-Victorian pieces. Up to two kids under 17 stay free in the same room with parents (some rooms have pullout sofas and queen-size beds).
