Fodor's Review:
This pale-yellow 1869 Victorian charms with individually decorated rooms -- many with fireplaces -- accented with antiques. Suites either have whirlpool tubs or private outdoor hot tubs. The Wentworth also rents out two- and three-bedroom condos, geared toward longer stays. The acclaimed restaurant ($$$) serves a five-course candlelight dinner with a menu that changes seasonally. Good choices are Australian rack of lamb with a carrot-ginger cream sauce, and grilled farm-raised salmon with potato and scallion pancakes and a baby spinach-and-bacon salad. The New England fish cakes with corn, sweet onions, and a celeriac rémoulade make a tempting starter. The 18-hole course at the Wentworth Golf Club is next door to the inn.
