Fodor's Review:
This 1790s inn lies just across Pleasant Lake from majestic Mt. Kearsarge. Its spacious rooms have country antiques and modern bathrooms. The restaurant ($$$$; reservations essential) presents a nightly changing prix-fixe menu that draws raves for such entrées as roast tenderloin of Angus beef with a Calvados demi-glace and watercress pesto and such desserts as white-chocolate mousse with a trio of sauces. Afternoon tea and full breakfast are included.
