Wolfeboro got a real boost with the opening of this stylish retreat, each of whose refined rooms subtly conveys the allure of a particular region, from coastal France to Martha's Vineyard to Virginia fox-hunting country. Lavish, custom bedding, Persian rugs, marble dressers, and fresh flowers lend an eclectic sophistication to this pale-gray clapboard inn that's steps from downtown shops and restaurants. High-speed wireless, homemade bath amenities, and highly personalized attention complete the experience.
