There's no shortage of relaxing activities at this farmhouse: you can curl up with a book by the parlor fireplace, stroll through the gardens and meadows, or play badminton out back. Rooms in the main house contain antiques, Colonial reproductions, and lace curtains. In carriage-house rooms, plain country furnishings, stenciled walls, and exposed beams are the norm. Many rooms have fireplaces, and some have combo TV/VCR/CD players. The frequently changing menu ($$$-$$$$; no lunch) is excellent -- fine choices include macadamia-crusted seared sea scallops, and plank-roasted loin of venison with a spiced-rhubarb barbecue sauce and barley-risotto sauce.
