The Christa McAuliffe Planetarium presents shows on the solar system, constellations, and space exploration that incorporate computer graphics, sound, and special effects in a 40-foot dome theater. Children love seeing the tornado tubes, magnetic marbles, and other hands-on exhibits. Outside, explore the scale-model planet walk and the human sundial. The planetarium was named for the Concord teacher -- and first civilian in space -- who was killed in the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion in 1986.
