Fodor's Review:
The 230-foot M/S Mount Washington makes 2 1/2-hour scenic cruises of Lake Winnipesaukee from Weirs Beach, mid-May-late October, with stops in Wolfeboro, Alton Bay, Center Harbor, and Meredith (you can board at any of these stops). Evening cruises include live music and a buffet dinner. The same company operates the M/V Sophie C., which has been the area's floating post office for more than a century. The boat departs from Weirs Beach with mail and passengers Monday-Saturday, mid-June-Labor Day; call for stops. Additionally, the M/V Doris E. runs between Meredith and Weirs Beach throughout summer.
