Fodor's Review:
Overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee and incorporating sections of the 19th-century Meredith Linen Mills, this complex has all the amenities of a full resort as well as warmth and personality. The central-most Inn at Mills Falls, which adjoins an 18-shop market, has a pool and 54 spacious rooms. The lakefront Inn at Bay Point has 24 rooms -- most with balconies, some with fireplaces. The 23 rooms at the lake-view Chase House at Mill Falls all have fireplaces; some have balconies. Many of the rooms at the posh Church Landing, a dramatic lakefront building, have double whirlpool tubs, gas fireplaces, and expansive decks with terrific water views. At the snazzy Cascade Spa, you can get a sea-salt glow or a Tribal Essence massage. Restaurants include the upscale Lakehouse ($$-$$$), which serves stellar contemporary dishes, and Lago ($$-$$$), which serves trendy Italian fare.
