Fodor's Review:
Surrounded by gardens, the Chesterfield sits above Route 9, the main road between Keene and Brattleboro, Vermont. Fine antiques and Colonial-style fabrics adorn the spacious guest quarters; 10 have fireplaces, and several have private decks or terraces that face the stunning perennial gardens and verdant Vermont hills. In the restaurant ($$-$$$$) rosemary- and walnut-crusted rack of lamb and grilled blue corn and smoked-cheddar polenta with black bean ratatouille are among the highlights.
