The original building of this Colonial-style inn, just up the road from the Gunstock ski area, was constructed in the 1930s by Civilian Conservation Corps workers who cut the area's first ski trails. The inn has individually decorated rooms, some of them large enough to accommodate families. Many rooms have views of the mountains and Lake Winnipesaukee. The snug tavern serves everything from seafood to burgers. In the fitness center, you can take water aerobics and body-toning classes free of charge.
