Wren's Nest Village Inn

Fodor's Review:

With standard rooms, suites, efficiencies, and cottages, the Wren's Nest draws lots of families and groups of friends; many regulars rent for weeks at a time. Guest quarters are clean, well maintained, and decorated with nautical artwork and modern if rather ordinary furniture, and the 4 acres of lawns and gardens are attractive. A few units have unusual themes -- the Harley-Davidson and Papa Hemingway suites, for example. It's a 10-minute drive south of downtown Portsmouth and convenient to Rye and the beaches. There is a charming restaurant and pub, Chestnut's.

  • In-room: kitchen (some), refrigerator.
