In heart of Littleton sits this former grande dame. While it still welcomes overnight guests, it functions largely as an informal museum. In the lobby and down the hall you'll find photos and memorabilia from movie star Bette Davis's huge birthday bash and artifacts from other illustrious guests, including Ulysses S. Grant, Henry Ford, P. T. Barnum, and Richard Nixon. Request a key to climb up to the cupola for 360-degree view of the town. Two rooms are open to the public: one set up as a guest room from the 1840s and one a scene from Pollyanna, written by Littleton native Eleanor Hodgman Porter, born in 1868.
