Poore Farm Historic Homestead

Poore Farm Historic Homestead Review

Maybe you've visited farm museums before, but certainly not one like this. Originally built in 1825, this farm has survived almost perfectly intact because the Poore family never installed electricity or other modern conveniences. They lived here for a century and a half, and apparently saved everything. The house, barn, outbuildings, and gardens provide a rare opportunity to see how rural New Englanders actually lived, dressed, ate, farmed, and socialized. It's the perfect backdrop for farming demonstrations, music festivals, and discussions about farm life.
