Adair Country Inn and Restaurant Review
An air of yesteryear refinement infuses Adair, a three-story Georgian-revival home that attorney Frank Hogan built as a wedding present for his daughter, Dorothy Adair, in 1927. Dorothy's hats adorn the place, as do books and old photos from the era. This is a luxurious, well-run country inn, with walking paths that wind through 200 acres of gardens designed by Olmsted Brothers. Rooms are furnished with period antiques and reproductions; many have fireplaces. A generous afternoon tea is served in the elegant living room, and a great basement rec room has a 1929 billiards table and a 42-inch flat-screen TV with a big movie collection.
