Fodor's Review:

The dining room at the famous inn serves up one of New England's most memorable meals. In warm months dine on the decidedly romantic porch, which is lined with hanging candles and overlooks the Presidential mountain range. The wine list is the state's most lauded, with 1,900 labels. It's also fun: the three 2-ounce-glass tasting is affordable and the glasses come with identification tags near the stems. The curated "Top 50" list of changing reasonably priced bottles is a sure guide. Chef John Russ brings subtle and flavorful dishes. A roasted poussin, an organic free-range game hen with grilled bacon and jus, is served with a wonderful Jerusalem artichoke salad.
