Wow. You'd be hard-pressed to find a larger or grander dining room in New Hampshire (only the Balsams can compare). The Mount Washington Hotel's huge octagonal dining room, built in 1902 is adorned with Currier & Ives reproductions, Tiffany glass, chandeliers galore, massive windows that open to the Presidential Range, and a nightly musical trio. Besides the Balsams, this is the only restaurant in the state that requires a jacket—if you forgot yours, fear not, they have about 30 you can borrow. Try seasonal dishes like seared haddock and shrimp fricassee; lemon lobster ravioli with shrimp and scallops; or roast pork with onions and mushrooms.
