Fodor's Review:

This rustic lodge with stick furniture, fieldstone, and cedar sits amid 180 pristine acres on First Connecticut Lake and is surrounded by log cabins, seven of which are right on the water. The cabins have efficiency kitchens and mini-refrigerators—not that you'll need either, because rates include hearty meals, served family-style, in the lodge restaurant. Pros: rustic, remote setting; charming lodge; loads of character. Cons: remote; not luxurious.
