When you see the totem pole, you know you've found this fun family resort. Views across the 180 acres of this motel's property, near the Loon and Cannon Mountain ski areas, are of Indian Head Rock Profile and the Franconia Mountains. Cross-country ski trails and a mountain-bike trail from the resort connect to the Franconia Notch trail system. The Profile Room restaurant serves standard American fare. Pros: best place for kids around. Cons: not directly in town, farther from skiing.
