Fodor's Review

This is a rare find in New Hampshire: an independent restaurant in a contemporary setting that's been serving customers for decades and yet still takes its food seriously. If you're in town, don't miss it. Tim Carr's menu changes weekly and uses regional American ingredients in creative ways. Main dishes might include an eggplant pâté with feta cheese, red pepper, and a tomato-herb marmalade or a basil-and-olive-oil-flavored salmon with a spinach-Brie-pecan pesto. Save room for such desserts as white chocolate–coconut cheesecake.

Best dining in the region!

The food was exquisitely prepared with many subtle hints of flavors. Every bite was an experience. Excellent service, warm atmosphere, delicious appetizers, phenomenal meal. Tim Bir Alley has an intimate casual dining room, I would strongly recommend reservations, however the night I was there, it was early and they were able to seat us. After dining there I will be sure and make reservations in the future because it did fill up. I am up north often

and that is the only place I will dine now when there. It is truly the region's best dining experience. Oh bring cash, they do not take credit cards, I did not realize that until the end of the meal and we were running across the street to the atm.

Dinner worthy of New York, Boston or San Francisco tucked away in Northern New Hampshire

NOTE: The address in Fodor’s is incorrect. Tim-Bir Alley moved to a much more central location a few miles away at 7 Main Street in Littleton New Hampshire in 2007. Having spent time exploring the great restaurant cities of the world – I am amazed by the food at Tim-Bir Alley and would encourage you to consider this a not-to-be-missed dinner destination when you are visiting Northern New England. Check out the Cold Mountain Café in Bethlehem

as well for lunch or for your second night’s dinner.
