There are three components to this down-to-earth place's success: quality, price, and location. The name refers to homemade bread (more than 30 kinds) and soup (100 varieties are offered on a rotating basis). Choose a chunk of anadama bread, made with cornmeal and molasses, to go with your soup, and take your meal to one of the two decks that hover over the Exeter River. It's simple and homey.
