ffrost Sawyer Tavern

ffrost Sawyer Tavern Review

That's not a typo, but an attempt to duplicate a quirky, obsolete spelling of the name of a former owner of this hilltop house. The eccentric stone basement tavern has its original beams, from which hang collections of mugs, hats, and—no way around it—bedpans. There's a terrific old bar. Choose from fine dinner fare, such as grilled porterhouse steak or potato-encrusted haddock. Lunch standards include burgers, pizza, and fish-and-chips.
