  I really do not know why this is on the list of "best Destination wedding hotels". Sure it is a beautiful location, but the supposedly "white-glove" (read stuffy and pretentious, crossing the line to downright snobbish) service leaves a lot to be desired. I attended a destination wedding here and had a particularly bad experience. To begin with there was another wedding occurring the same evening, and the lack of signs resulted in many people going to the wrong place. Secondly (and I admit this was my fault to begin with) I forgot to bring my driver's license or any other form of id! I didn;t even have any cash with me. (i figured I was going to a private wedding party so it wasn;t necessary). When I walked into the cocktail hour i was offered a glass of champagne which i readily accepted. But when I went to get a refill at the bar they decided to do an id check and of course i was out of luck! I had no way of getting back to my hotel to pick up my license at that point either. I am 30 years old, and I certainly don;'t look younger than 25! I was amazed that they refused to serve me - did they think I was about to get sloshed at a wedding? Total lack of discretion and common sense! And it didn't end there either! My boyfriend had to use the restroom and handed me his drink to hold for him. Half a second after he left, the bartender walked across to me and took the drink from my hand! The doors to the banquet hall were then opened and I took my seat. One of the wait staff came to our table and offered a choice of red and white wine to everyone. I was offered last, and I was the only one she asked for id. Again I was refused service. A little later my friend sitting at my right poured some of his wine into my glass. At which point the first bartender (now on waiting duty) came over and chewed my friend out, and took my glass away. I was outraged, but what could I do? Complain to the bride? I understand that there are state laws, but this was a private event, there were 100 people there who could vouch for me. I was appalled that this whole situation was not handled more delicately as befits a fine hotel (e.g. a word with the Hotel Manager or the Wedding Coordinator or the Father of the Bride). Instead the waitstaff took it into their own hands to rather vengefully reprimand me. I have never been so embarrassed before! I do not recommend using this hotel as a Wedding Venue unless you want your guests to be treated poorly by moronic automatons.
  ( I did not stay at this hotel, but I'm guessing the Room quality would be a 5)
