Fodor's Review

An appealing choice for lunch or dinner, this rustic-timbered dining room overlooks a small mill pond in Rindge, about 8 miles south of Jaffrey Center. The 1790 building used to house a sawmill, a gristmill, a forge, and a blacksmith. Now it's an all-around good restaurant with live music on weekends. The Cajun-style sirloin is flavorful, and the apple brandy–and-walnut chicken is sweet and brazen.
