Charlestown

Charlestown has the state's largest historic district. About 60 homes, handsome examples of Federal, Greek-Revival, and Gothic-Revival architecture, are clustered about the town center; 10 of them were built before 1800. Several merchants on the main street distribute brochures that describe an interesting walking tour of the district.
