If you're visiting someone at the academy and want to stay in a B&B, you're bound to love this place smack dab in the heart of town. Rooms are individually furnished—in the extreme. One might be floral Victorian. Another might be the Lakeheath Lodge, which takes a rustic outdoorsy approach, with exposed ceiling beams and antlers over the brick fireplace and pine strung over the headboard. Pillows are piled in profusion atop the Ralph Lauren sheets. Character and comfort continue in all rooms, with crystal decanters of sherry. It's one of the best B&Bs in the state. Note that breakfast is served at one set time: 8:30. Pros: perfect location in town, richly furnished rooms. Cons: early breakfast.
