The Wolfeboro Inn Review
This 1812 inn has a commanding lakefront location and is a perennial favorite for those visiting Lake Winnipesaukee. Warm yourself up by the fieldstone fireplace in the guest area. Most rooms have nice outside light from big windows, and a number have terraces. The hotel has a tavern with four fireplaces and row upon row of pewter beer mugs, 1,900 in all, hanging from the ceiling. Renovations in 2008 spruced up the rooms in the original building, creating a boutiquey flavor. The owners have taken the same approach to classic old properties in Exeter and Concord.
