Lazy Dog Inn Review
If you travel with your dog, you've just found your new favorite B&B. What began as a stagecoach stop has been operating as an inn almost continuously since 1845, and when Laura and Steven Sousa took over earlier this decade, they converted the inn to an über-doggie-friendly B&B. The barn became a "doggie lodge" with a number of runs, a canine lullaby CD plays, and the innkeepers care for the dogs during the day while guests explore the Lakes Region or the White Mountains. It's an exceptional niche, but it's not done at the expense of the rooms, which are the cleanest and best furnished within miles. The lodging rate includes dog care.
