Fodor's Review

Just south of Plainfield, a small road leads to this historic site that celebrates the life and artistry of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, a leading 19th-century sculptor with major works on Boston Common and in Manhattan's Central Park. You can tour his house (with original furnishings), studio, and gallery, as well as 150 acres of grounds and gardens, scattered throughout which are casts of his works. The property has two hiking trails, the longer of which is the Blow-Me-Down Trail. Concerts are held at 2 pm on Sunday in July and August.
