Follansbee Inn

2 Keyser St., North Sutton, New Hampshire, 03260, USA

Built in 1840, this country inn on the shore of Kezar Lake is the kind of place that almost automatically turns strangers into fast friends. Next door to a white clapboard church, it fits in perfectly with the 19th-century village of North Sutton. The rooms and suites all have soft country quilts, and several of the accommodations overlook the water. In winter you can go ice fishing, borrow the inn's snowshoes, or ski across the lake. In summer, swim or sail from the inn's pier out to Blueberry Island. A 3-mile walking trail circles the lake.
