Fodor's Expert Review Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art
This museum on the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus, formerly the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History, has a growing collection of works by artists with ties to Southern Nevada, many of them from the former Las Vegas Art Museum. It hosts rotating exhibitions, including touring shows, as well as lectures focused on art. The Xeric Garden in front of the museum, which dates to 1988, was the first xeriscape demonstration garden in town and contains pathways and benches that are great places to observe native fauna.
