Fodor's Review

The unlikely Broadway hit, a salute to '80s-era hair metal and power ballads, actually played on the Strip very briefly in 2006 before it went on to the Great White(snake) Way. Now it's back where its producers always wanted it to be, in spite of the lackluster response to the movie version starring Tom Cruise as an over-the-top rocker. The spoofy stage version alternates high-school humor with fist-pumping '80s hits such as "Sister Christian" and "Don't Stop Believin',"

telling a story as old as rock 'n' roll itself: The kids try to save their beloved club from greedy developers.
