Fodor's Review

Welcome to the land of the Egyptians—Vegas style. This modern-world wonder is topped with a xenon light beam that burns brighter than any other in the world and can be seen from anywhere in the valley at night; for that matter, it's supposedly even visible from space. The exterior is made with 13 acres of black glass. Forget elevators; climbing the slanted walls of the Luxor pyramid requires four "inclinators" to reach guest rooms. On each floor, open-air hallways overlook

the world's largest atrium. Pyramid rooms are large but otherwise nondescript. One wall slopes because of the building's design—an interesting effect, but it makes these rooms feel cramped. We prefer the twin 22-story towers next door: they're newer and have brighter rooms with large windows, many that offer killer views of the pyramid. Bathrooms are spacious and have separate showers and tubs. Spa suites in the pyramid have plenty of extra space and deep whirlpool tubs with brilliant views of the skyline.

HIGHLIGHTS

The Atrium: Inside is the world's largest atrium—you get the full impact of the space from the second floor, where "BODIES... The Exhibition" gives guests an eerie view of the human body.

Fantasy : This seductive adult revue is fun to share with your significant other.

The...um...archaelology: For something entirely unique, head outside the casino, walk past the porte cochere, and follow the sidewalk inside a replica of the Great Sphinx of Giza. Only in Vegas.

Amenities

The Luxor has one of the largest pools on the Strip. For a truly indulgent treat, rent a cabana and receive poolside VIP services such as hand-delivered treats and iced aromatherapy towels, to name a few.

At Nurture, the resort's spa, enjoy a eucalyptus steam bath, dry sauna, and whirlpools as preparation for any number of rejuvenating massage treatments.

Women (or couples) eager to take sexy (but tasteful) photos can schedule an in-room boudoir photo session with a local photographer.
