Fodor's Expert Review Paymon's Mediterranean Cafe and Hookah Lounge

Paradise Road and the East Side Piano Bar

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

The hookah is an elaborate Middle Eastern water pipe that is used to smoke exotic tobaccos (and yes, we just mean tobacco). It also happens to be a trend popular at Vegas lounges and clubs these days. Thanks to a helpful "Hookah Man" and some available samples, no prior experience with water pipes is required. But the hookah is only one part of the appeal here: designed by local entrepreneur Paymon Raouf for the ultimate chill-out experience, this red velvet–laden, exquisitely carpeted, incense-filled environment redefines Vegas plush, and its young, somewhat bohemian crowd and those sexy paintings on the wall don't hurt the romance, either.
