Botero Review

Panoramic windows, soaring white columns, and a smattering of Botero's paintings convey a sense of tasteful luxury inside this circular steak house, overlooking a patio and pool. The semicircle bar, decorated with flasks of jewel-tone fluids, echoes the elegant curvilinear flow. Enjoyment of Chef Mark LoRusso's contemporary preparations of beef, poultry, and seafood is enhanced by the skilled, attentive service of the waitstaff. Enticing starters might include Dungeness crab agnolotti, a ham and cheese tasting, or baby-beet salad with warm chèvre. Of course, there are several steaks to choose from, with three styles of preparation: traditional, pepper steak, or chimichurri. Portions are generous; share an organic roast chicken, for example, or a side of truffle mac and cheese. Cocktails are commanding and the wine list is wonderful.
