Harrah's Las Vegas

Harrah's Las Vegas Hotel and Casino

Why We Like It

Newer rooms offer cozy and comfortable sleeping spots. When combined with the charm of an the older resort and the close proximity to the blinding lights and excitement of the resort corridor, you have an overlooked option in Harrah’s Las Vegas.

Fodor's Expert Review

Harrah’s Las Vegas offers an old-school vibe that feels more suited to Downtown Las Vegas than the Las Vegas Strip, which can be charming and a nice complement to the surrounding mega-resorts along Las Vegas Boulevard.

Room

The resort features a variety of types of hotel rooms. The older ones will feel dated with too much beige and no personality. Newer rooms are more welcoming with brighter colors and more contrast that’s pleasing to the eye.

Tip If you want to make sure you get a renovated room, book in Valley Tower. All of the rooms there were renovated in the last few years.

Bathroom

Granite countertops and marble showers are standard in all rooms.

Lobby

With lower ceilings and a lot of gold accents and shiny materials, the lobby and gaming area of Harrah’s feels like a relic of the era it was built. That’s not necessarily a bad thing for people looking for more of an old-school charm while staying on the Strip.

Pool

Open to pool guests only, the pool received a refresh in 2015. It features lounge chairs and daybeds, poolside cocktails and meal service, as well as a poolside café. A wading pool offers max comfort on hot days.

Spa

The full-service spa and salon is located on the fourth floor of the resort.

Gym

Equipment and free weights are available in a space that doesn’t inspire but gets the job done.

Dining

Fulton Street Food Hall is open 24-7, 7 days a week, giving guests decent food options regardless of the time. Those looking for food, drinks and entertainment all at once may be interested in Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill.

Drinking

Carnaval Court is an open-air street party on the Las Vegas Strip. Flair bartenders make it more of an experience than a traditional bar. However, if you’re looking for a nonstop nightlife party or a place to lounge, you’ll have to look elsewhere.
