WHAT'S NEARBY

The Playboy Club

Fodor's Review:

"The Bunny is back!" So said Hugh Hefner at the recent grand opening of this phoenix-rising-from-the-ashes 1960s nightlife legend, now rocking the 52nd floor of the Palms' new Fantasy Tower. A few of the old fixings are absent: the constantly changing vintage Playboy photos projected on LCD screens everywhere include no nudity, for example. (This isn't a topless joint, mind you -- it's as upscale as ultralounges get.) Still, all the servers and croupiers wear the classic Bunny outfits, and the plush dark bachelor-pad-on-a-grand-scale feel here, complete with fireplace and a multitude of couches, proves that everything old can be new again. When you're ready to dance, take the escalator up to Moon. It's connected to the Playboy and is included in your cover charge -- $20 on weeknights, $40 on weekends.
