Las Vegas Restaurants

Roy's

Roy's Review

A popular import from Hawaii, Roy's is plush without feeling pretentious or overdone—a good bet for a relaxed, elegant meal. You enter the restaurant along a torch-lit lane, and a highly professional, friendly staff works the bustling dining room. Executive Chef Roy Yamaguchi has become synonymous with creative Hawaiian fusion fare, such as the "Maui Wowie" shrimp salad with avocado, capers, sweet onions, and feta cheese. There's a full sushi bar, as well. The food bar overlooking the action in the kitchen is perfect for those dining alone. On Monday nights in winter, try the three-course price-fixe meal for $35.95.

We celebrated our mother's 70th Birthday at Roy's on Flamingo in Las Vegas and the wonderful staff helped to make it a most memorable event. The service was exquisite, the ambiance classy and unpretentious, and the food perfectly prepared and presented. Chef Percy Oani and his talented sous-chefs prepared some of the most sumptuous food I've ever had - not one complaint from our group of picky, finicky foodies. Nothing overcooked or undercooked. The Misoyaki Butterfish was incredible as was the filet mignon, tiger prawns, pork chops and seafood sampler (yes we shared). That Crispy Karaage Calamari is incredible - super crispy and tender on the inside and not greasy at all - beautiful! The desserts were amazing - the molten chocolate souffle was over-the-top lip smackin! Thanks again to Kathryn, Betty, Jeff, Bobby and Troy! You made our time in Vegas truly memorable. If I could give Chef Oani more than 5 stars I would.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary at Roy's Las Vegas restaurant and it was the best evening we had while in Vegas. The service/staff were AMAZING and the food was to die for. We made reservations and they ask if you have a special occasion. They prepared a special personalized menu for us and the Chef sent out complimentary appetizers and a special dessert that had Happy Anniversary in Chocolate. This was worth the trip to Vegas alone! We lived in Hawaii for 6 years and enjoyed reliving the spirit of Aloha for a few hours. Roy's will not disappoint!
